The Little-Known 3-Step Strategy Of Super Affiliates

As we all know, affiliate marketing can be an amazing way to make a living. There are no hassles, no products to think about, and no customer support headaches. You simply send traffic to a website, and get paid for the sales.

The problem is, this “lazy lifestyle” often leads people down a road of well, laziness.

Here’s what I mean.

Very few affiliates are developing strategies that gets them thinking like a real business owner. One of those strategies you need to be doing, if you’re not already, is building a list.

And if you’re already building a list (and are probably already a super affiliate) keep reading as their are a few gems in here you probably haven’t heard of before.

But first…

Why Should You Build A List?

Think about the #1 flaw that affiliates face.

When someone hits your site and you send them to your affiliate link, they’re gone. If they buy you get a little money, but that’s it. Yet, the business owner gets to continue selling to them over and over and over again.

This article is going to show you how to take advantage of being able to sell to those same buyers over and over and over again, rapidly multiplying your income.

What I recommend doing is a very simple 3-step strategy that will quickly skyrocket your income and push you up to “super affiliate” level (which, of course, comes along with its own perks and bonuses).

The 3-Step Strategy Of Super Affiliates

Step #1: Develop A Special Report: Let’s say you’re an affiliate for a company selling weight loss products. You would simply write a 5-30 page special report giving your visitors value. Maybe teaching them a blueprint for eating healthier, or how to lose 8 pounds in the first 7 days, or whatever the case may be.

Make the title as juicy as you possibly can. For example “How To Lose Weight Quickly” is bland and boring. “How To Melt Off 8 Pounds In 7 Days Without Exercising” is much more juicy.

This step should take you no more than 2-3 days. Any more than that and you’re making it too complicated. Also be sure to sprinkle the free report with affiliate links.

Step #2: Give Away The Report For Free In Exchange For An Email Address: The main idea of this is to build your email list. This is very easy to do with email service providers today such as Aweber, Sendpepper, iContact, etc.

They often come with templates you can use for your optin form. This makes it incredibly easy to plug into your site. They also look great. You can sprinkle these optin forms all around your site. Typically the best places are in the top-right hand sidebar, as well as in the middle of your website, above the content. You can also place optin forms at the bottom of blog posts, as people exit the website, etc.

Step #3: Create An Autoresponder: This is your golden egg. As people enter your list, they’ll go through a predetermined amount of email sequences. You can create as little as 1 or 2, and as many as several years. In my business, my email sequence for prospects runs out for roughly one year. I’m also constantly adding more and plan to have it go out for 3-5 years. Why? Because people buy when they’re ready to buy, and you should take advantage of that.

The best way I’ve found to write these autoresponders goes something like this.

Start the message with a fun, entertaining piece of content which HELPS the reader. Then, transition that piece of content into a small pitch for one of your affiliate products.

In the weight loss example you can start off by giving “3 foods to never eat before bedtime”, and then transition into the pitch by saying something like… “And in XXX course, you’ll also discover my step-by-step system for ending nighttime cravings. Click here for more details”.

Obviously that’s a simplified example, but you get the point.

The Final Step: Turbocharging This Entire Process

If you do what I outlined above, you’ll quickly increase your income. It’s pretty much guaranteed.

However, there’s a way to “turbocharge” the entire process.

Starting with your most profitable affiliate programs, ask the affiliate manager to send you a weekly/monthly report showing which people bought through your affiliate link. Then, transfer those buyers onto a “buyers” autoresponder list and create another autoresponder series.

This will be the same type of autoresponder, yet I would recommend sending them MORE email, with more variety. You can also get in touch with the affiliate managers and come up with special deals for them.

Why go through the trouble of creating another list?

Because buyers tend to continue buying. I can tell you from personal experience that when I find a new hobby that I “know I’ll stick with”, I tend to spend at least $1,000 buying various tools, equipment and information about that hobby.

(And then, of course, 3 weeks later I don’t care about it and have piles of junk that I have to give away to friends and relatives).

The point is this.

If you find someone in their hot streak, you’ll notice that they continue buying product after product after product that you recommend.

If you follow the system I outlined above, you’ll give yourself an instant pay raise. I know that sounds a little bit hypey, but it’s the truth. There is no other possible scenario but to increase your income. It’s easy, doesn’t take much work (remember you can outsource most or all of this) and will give you an instant advantage over other affiliates in your niches.
