Struggling for something is a bitch. 10 Easy ways out.
I will come off as an asshole somewhere in this article (maybe the title did it already), truth is struggling for anything is the hardest thing anyone ever goes through in life with. It’s hard to keep on trying for something with so many other things happening in life. In this post I’ll talk about how struggling to grow a website is hard and how you can get out of it easily.
Let’s say, you have a blog and although you’re keeping up the content frequency constant and all, things are still hard to manage since the market is getting more and more saturated by the day, to be honest this is nothing, the competition will definitely grow to a new and much larger level, and on the current level it’s really hard to get a blog off the ground (It was really hard getting blueverse going at first), through the launching phase (which may last for months) at some point the blogger gives up, at that point there seems no hope for the blog or the blogger itself, these can be caused by either frustration of growth not achieved or maybe financial problems, those are the only problems I know of that can influence this sort of behavior (Believe me, i know..) , while going through all this either the blog dies off or the blogger loses faith in his/her projects. Now I made a list of 10 things, these are ways to get back on track or just easy ways out of the whole thing.
Inspiration, get some.
If you lost faith in your blog, then the first thing you would need is inspiration this could be anything, fame, money, status..etc. Anything that would give you a kick in the ass to get back to work and not give up.
Try looking at other bloggers, some of the people that made it in the blogging industry, this would either inspire you to be like them or atleast give you a few post ideas.
Stop spending and start thinking.
Usually new bloggers that want to be popular desperately would spend anywhere from $400-$2000 in order to get the blog moving, while not even thinkign what the money is going into.
This is where you should stop spending and think about what you are doing, what it gives you back, just becuase you have money doesn’t mean you should spend it like an ignorant infant.
Re-evaluate your goals and priorities.
Where do you want to be in the next 10 months?
What do you have to do to get there?
Think about things like that, things that would alter the course of your growth/development. It’s crucial that you know what you are doing, and what for.
Relax, Layback, let yourself think out of the box.
If you are in a hole, need a way out, let go of yourself..
You definietly need time off work, some time to relax will do you a world of good, working on something way too much suffocates your brain, thats the best way I can explain that.
The more time you have to relax and time off from stress, the more you will think better later on.
Get some suggestions from an expert.
If you don’t know what to do at all get an opinion from an expert, suggestions from someone viewing your position from a different aspect helps alot, I’ve done alot of changes in my strategies based on 2nd opinions.
Get some small accomplishment. Ego boosts, they are good.
The most common reason why webmasters fall into this kind of a hole is becuase of recent failures in projects or life or whatever. You need to do something small and be good at it, do something yo know will definitely work. Get it done, get some good comments on it, that would boost your ego a bit.
Food, Music and Art.. This is how creativity is born.
Take a break and live the finer life, go to a fancy resturaunt, splurge a little, listen to music, do some art, spend time with friends, take a load off.
It’s better to think social (real-life social) sometimes, it’s alot of help when all you do is spend time online working.
Personally, I like to play the guitar whenever I wanna take a break, it’s relaxing.
Observation, stalking in the most legal form.
Start following how other bloggers in your niche are doing things, take tips, take notes…whatever it takes to know what you are doing is right or wrong.
Watching someone else work is actually a great way to improve your skills.
Content isn’t king when it doesnt work for you.
Yea every rants about how content is king, even I do, only because it works for me. Sometimes it doesn’t, thats a proven fact, maybe content is not what you need, maybe its marketing, promotion, seo…there is definitely something missing if your blog isn’t working out.
Research that and you’ll have a much better view of your position.
Sell out.
All of the above didn’t work?
It’s time to sell your blog and move on, to be honest I could make up a load of bullshit about how you should never give up but in reality, if you can’t make it work any humanly possible way, it’s time to throw in the towel and move on to something better.
